If the vast ground fronting the Grand Palace is a symbol of Bangkok, the tamarind trees are in turn a symbol of Sanam Luang. "Tamarind trees in other areas are big and covered with green leaves. An increasing amount of environmentally conscious visitors since November noticed that people were mistreating the land, in turn the park's numerous tamarind trees were rotting. Tamarind trees by nature are luscious, strong vibrant, and full of valuable benefits, unlike what we see in Sanam Luang today.
